CapStar was awarded this large shopping center in the middle of Leander, TX. The property is over 40 acres, anchored by a 63,000 + square foot Randall’s Grocery. Along with tenant space for 10-15 tenants on either side of Randall’s, encompassing a total of 93,000+ square feet. Additionally this shopping center has a state of the art Randall’s fuel station, providing convenient fueling options for customers.

CapStar installed over 2,000 lf of electrical primary, electrical secondary and telecommunication conduits around the site. The project also includes beautiful custom made LED light fixtures, producing a great light while being energy efficient. We built the electrical infrastructure needed to facilitate a project with so many tenants, by ensuring that the contract documents were designed correctly, were revised with the interior space adjustments and updated accordingly.

We worked closely with the City of Leander to relocate several of their street lights in the medians of the two very busy roads on both sides of this property. We also relocated several electrical services providing the power to the signal lights, which at no time were allowed to be off. Additionally we installed rather new technology with Knox Box switches for the local fire department allowing them to open this box with their key, and effectively turn the entire building’s electricity off in case of an emergency. After it is all said and done we will have installed miles of electrical conductors, many electrical panels, several lighting control panels and the fire alarm system.

This has been a great project for us and we look forward to many more of these opportunities.
